Boise State, TCU in spotlight of must-see TV
They won't attract the highest TV ratings, but if a team from a non-BCS conference ever is to get a shot at the BCS title, Boise State and TCU have to win the top two games on this list of 10 must-see contests this fall:
1. Boise State vs. Virginia Tech, Sept. 6 - Broncos' BCS title dreams and QB Kellen Moore's Heisman candidacy ride on neutral-site opener in Landover, Md.
2. TCU at Utah, Nov. 6 - If TCU is undefeated through nine games, Horned Frogs can control Mountain West and preserve national title hopes with win.
3. Ohio State at Iowa, Nov. 20 - If Buckeyes win Oct. 16 at Wisconsin, date with Hawkeyes provides chance for revenge, Big Ten title and BCS title shot.
4. Florida at Alabama, Oct. 2 - Past two national champions meet in regular-season showdown in Tuscaloosa but could have rematch in SEC title game.
5. Texas at Nebraska, Oct. 16 - Enmity with Texas prompted Huskers' move to Big Ten, should be a war that might be re-enacted in Big 12 title game.
6. Virginia Tech at Miami, Nov. 20 - No doubt, this will decide ACC Coastal Division, and if Hokies upset Boise early, they might have national title shot.
7. Miami at Ohio State, Sept. 11 - Talented Hurricanes pose the most serious non-conference threat to Buckeyes' BCS aspirations in mega-matchup.
8. Oklahoma vs. Texas, Oct. 2 - The Red River Rivalry at Cowboys Stadium decides the Big 12 South and sets winner up for bigger things nationally.
9. Oregon at Oregon State, Dec. 4 - Beavers can play spoiler early at Boise State and TCU, but they really want to upset rival Ducks for Rose Bowl bid.
10. Notre Dame at USC, Nov. 27 - Traditional powers on rebound under new coaches, Brian Kelly and Lane Kiffin, can use national showcase for turnaround.
