Adelphi loses to Stonehill in NCAA East

Robert Johnson led the Panthers (21-9) with 14 points and Bradley Simpson scored 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

Adelphi led 21-20 at the half but Stonehill then went on a 16-2 run to break open the game. Adelphi could get no closer than five points after that.

The Panthers shot 41.2 percent from the field, pulled down 34 rebounds and were 13-for-18 from the foul line.

Stonehill (23-8) was led by Brian Hamor with 20 points.

Adelphi shared a portion of the Northeast-10 regular-season title with Franklin Pierce with a 16-6 conference mark.
