Freshman center Brittney Griner was suspended for Baylor's final game per NCAA rules for punching Jordan Barncastle of Texas Tech during a game on Wednesday night.

Baylor's coach Kim Mulkey added an additional game, the school announced in a statement today.

“I am very disappointed in the incident which happened during our basketball game last night at Texas Tech,” Mulkey said. “There is no place for those types of actions in sports.

Griner will miss Baylor's first game in the Big 12 Tournament.

It is not believed the NCAA will add any additional punishments.
