Georgetown making its case
Pittsburgh has become the flavor of the week after knocking off Connecticut on the road.
Georgetown can't be counted out. The Hoyas defended their homecourt with an 85-73 win over Seton Hall just five days after knocking off the Huskies. Outside of a peculiar loss to Old Dominion and a three-point setback to Marquette, Georgetown has been flawless.
The 11th-ranked Hoyas (13-2, 4-1 Big East) had four players in double figures, including sophomore guard Jason Clark, who led Georgetown with a career-high 20 points.
Granted Seton Hall (10-6, 1-4), which has dropped 14th straight road games against ranked teams, isn't setting the world on fire, great teams have to protect their homecourt.
Other than their road loss against Marquette, the Hoyas haven't been tested on the road. But that will change as the Hoyas face stiff challenges at Villanova and Pitt over the next five days.
So much for the Big East being down.
