Goodman leads Stony Brook women over St. Peter's
Chikilra Goodman had 13 points, seven rebounds and three steals to lead host Stony Brook in a 63-41 win over St. Peter's Saturday in nonconference women's basketball.
Dani Klupenger added 12 points, on four three-pointers, and Sabre Proctor had nine points and three steals for the Seawolves (6-4). Kristal Edwards scored 16 points for St. Peter's (0-8).
St. John's 58, Tennessee Tech 46: Shenneika Smith had 15 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and three steals to lead host St. John's (5-3) in the Chartwell's Holiday Classic. Amber Thompson added 12 points, seven rebounds and four blocks, and Nadirah McKenith had nine points, five rebounds and five assists.
SUNY-Old Westbury 73, New Rochelle 56: DeAndra Scott had 17 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks to lead Old Westbury (3-9). Clarissa Gallagher added 14 points and three assists. Jasmine Brandon had 18 points and 12 rebounds for New Rochelle (4-4).
NYIT 75, Chestnut Hill 48: Nikki Jo Rotolo had 20 points, nine rebounds and five steals to lead NYIT (9-0). Demitra Apergis added 19 points and five assists, and Rebecca Lynch had 10 points and five assists.
Merrimack 57, Molloy 42: Kelly Schatzlein had 12 points and 11 rebounds to lead Merrimack (7-2). Ashley Addison scored 12 points and Nicole Arnone had eight points and eight rebounds for Molloy (3-5).
Adelphi 72, Concordia 49: Kelly Mannix had 18 points and nine rebounds to lead Adelphi (6-3) on Friday. Jessica Kitrys added 15 points and 11 rebounds.
MEN'S BASKETBALL
Adelphi 64, Philadelphia 51: John Calarco scored 18 points to lead Adelphi (3-7). Duane Morgan added 12 points and six rebounds, and Bradley Simpson had 11 points and seven rebounds. Jim Connolly scored 25 points for Philadelphia (6-3).
Southern New Hampshire 74, NYIT 56: Rodney Sanders had 18 points and five rebounds for Southern New Hampshire (6-3). Azel Prather Jr. had 12 points and five rebounds, and Kayvon Roberts had eight points and 12 rebounds for NYIT (6-4).
Ramapo 110, St. Joseph's (LI) 76: Will Sanborn scored 23 points to lead Ramapo (7-0). Keith Anderson scored 16 points and Cody Lohsen had 12 points and five rebounds for St. Joseph's (1-6).
