Griner ejected for throwing a punch

Baylor center Brittney Griner was ejected after throwing a punch in a game against Texas Tech on Wednesday night.

Texas Tech's Jordan Barncastle fouled the 6-8 freshman with 9:01 left in the game. Griner responded with a right hand to Barncastle's face. Griner was assessed a technical and ejected.

Griner will undoubtedly be suspended by the Big 12. Baylor coach Kim Mulkey indicated she would also discipline Griner.

Baylor (22-7, 9-6 Big 12) will host Texas on Sunday in its final regular season game.
