Halil Kanacevic chooses St. Joseph's

Former Hofstra freshman forward Halil Kanacevic has verbally committed to St. Joseph's, the Hofstra athletic department confirmed on Tuesday.

The 6-8 freshman averaged 8.6 points and a team-leading 7.6 rebounds for the Pride.

Freshman guard Chaz Williams has not asked for his release, Hofstra told Newsday on Tuesday.
