Let the recruiting war between Hofstra and Fordham begin.

It appears as if Fordham struck first as Bishop Loughlin guard Branden Frazier, who initially committed to Hofstra, backed out and will instead head to Fordham, according to one source.

Of course it's debatable what his status would've been with new Hofstra coach Tim Welsh anyway. Either way, the race for local recruits between the schools could get real interesting.

Frazier, a 6-3 guard, helped lead Loughlin to the NYS CHSAA Intersectional championship game where it fell to Christ the King in triple overtime.
