Late last week things weren't looking good for the Hofstra women.

Losers of two straight and seven of their last 10, the Pride's season had hit a serious valley. But two wins later -Delaware, William & Mary- and Hofsra (13-8, 5-5 CAA) is right back in the thick of things.

Shante Evans had 19 points and nine rebounds, Kate Loper had another strong game with 16 points, including four three pointers, and Nicole Capurso had 12 points and six assists in a 79-65 win over William & Mary on Thursday night.

Hofstra started off its week on a high note with an 81-68 win over Elena Delle Donne on Sunday. The Pride now trail fourth-place VCU (12-8, 7-3) by just two games.

It won't be easy, but a good run to finish the regular season and the Pride could find themselves among the top four. The Pride plays at George Mason on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
