The Hofstra women's current flight path could be diverted upward and above the radar if they keep winning.

Winners of five straight, the Pride (5-1) were ranked 25th in the latest CollegeInsider.com women's mid-major poll. Other CAA teams in the poll are Delaware (7), Old Dominion (9), James Madison (13) and Drexel (17).

The Pride women have also received several individual honors this season. Sophmore forward Shante Evans was named the CAA player of the week, while freshman Kate Loper was selected as the conference rookie of the week.

The awards were announced on Monday.

It was the second player of the week honor for Evans and the third rookie honor for Loper. Evans (16.8 ppg, 9.8 reb) is Hofstra's leading scorer and rebounder and Loper averages 12.7 points per game.

Hofstra plays at Seton Hall on Saturday at 2 p.m.
