Joyner leads Post women over Adelphi

Felicia Joyner scored a game-high 23 and went 3-for-3 from three-point range for the C.W. Post women in a 64-59 win over host Adelphi in non-conference basketball yesterday. Ashley Caggiano added 10 points and three assists for Post (3-1). Amanda Campusano led Adelphi (1-1) with 18 points and Jessica Kitrys added 16.

Briarcliffe 69, St. Elizabeth 66: Ifeanyi Ofili scored 29 points for Briarcliffe (5-0) in non-conference. Farmingdale State 70, John Jay 53:Kayla Koch had 15 points and 10 rebounds for Farmingdale State (1-1) in non-conference. Wesleyan 69, SUNY-Old Westbury 61:Kim Weathers had 29 points for SUNY-Old Westbury (0-1) in non-conference.Stonehill 72, Molloy 71:Ashley Addison had 15 points for Molloy (3-2) in non-conference.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

C.W. Post 90, Bloomfield 82: Stefan Bonneau had 27 points and Tobin Carberry chipped in 24 for C.W. Post in non-conference. St. Joseph's 90, Eastern Connecticut State 76:Trey Black scored 21 points as St. Joseph's (2-0) captured the Eastern Connecticut State Tip-off Tournament championship.

Adelphi 54, Dowling 38:Chris Ranglin and Jon Calarco each had 11 points forAdelphi (1-1) in non-conference. John Merchant had 16 points for Dowling. Farmingdale State 81, Brockport 70:Joshua Smith scored 23 points for Farmingdale State (1-1) in the Courtyard by Marriott Tip-Off consolation. Dyshaun Flournoy had 17 points in the win.

SUNY-Old Westbury 86, Alfred 60:Jamal Little had 25 points and Kerel Mitchell added 11 points for SUNY-Old Westbury (1-0) in non-conference. Nassau CC 86, Dutchess CC 65:Quentin Tate and Chris Amuldin each had 15 points to lead Nassau CC (2-1, 2-1) in Region XV.

Ulster CC 98, Suffolk CC 89:Jeren Hall had 21 points and 15 rebounds for Suffolk CC (3-2, 1-2) in Region XV.
