Kansas' Aldrich declares for draft

Jayhawks junior center Cole Aldrich announced his intention to enter the NBA draft at a news conference on Monday.

The 6-11 center is expected to be a lottery pick.

Aldrich averaged 11.3 points and 9.8 points per game for the Jayhawks, who were eliminated in the second round of the NCAA Tournament by Northern Iowa. The deadline to declare for the NBA draft is April 25. Players have until May 8 to withdraw.
