Connie Simmons hit a jumper with 19 seconds left to give Dowling a three-point lead and the Golden Lions held on to beat Molloy, 47-46, Saturday in East Coast Conference women's basketball.

Danielle Wilson had 24 points and 13 rebounds, and Simmons 10 points and nine rebounds to lead Dowling (9-2, 3-0). The Golden Lions rallied from 13 points down in the first half and took their first lead at 34-33 on Wilson's free throws with 12:40 remaining. Nicole Arnone scored nine points for Molloy (4-6, 0-3).

Adelphi 77, American International 73: Sade Jackson had 17 points, nine assists and six steals to lead Adelphi (8-3, 5-2 NE-10). Jenna Halaby added 13 points. Sarah Noble scored 21 points for AIC (6-5, 3-4).

NYIT 74, UDC 54:Alex Venuto had 19 points and four steals to lead NYIT (11-0, 3-0 ECC). Charlene Riddick added 17 points and six rebounds for NYIT.

Suffolk CC 63, Manhattan CC 46: Marlaina Sherman had 22 points and 13 rebounds to lead Suffolk (2-0, 2-0) in Region XV. Makeda DeSouza added 10 points for Suffolk CC.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

LIU Post 78, Queens 60: Tyuan Williams had 21 points and seven rebounds, and Vaughn Allen 13 points and 19 rebounds to lead Post (7-3, 2-0 ECC). Patrick Parker scored 18 points for Queens (1-9, 1-1).

Suffolk CC 76, Manhattan CC 64: Armand Correa had 14 points and seven rebounds for Suffolk CC (7-3) in Region XV. Cortrell King had 13 points and seven rebounds and Nick Gallina nine assists for Suffolk CC.

Molloy 55, Dowling 48: John Petrucelli had 14 points, eight rebounds and four steals for Molloy (6-5, 2-1 ECC). Jimmy Nolan added 13 points for Molloy.

NYIT 85, UDC 68: Phil Izevbehai had 19 points and six rebounds and Kayvon Roberts 16 points and nine rebounds for NYIT (8-4, 3-0 ECC).
