Louisville holds back Memphis
Russ Smith set personal bests with 24 points and seven steals as host No. 4 Louisville (10-0) went on a 23-12 run midway through the second half on the way to a 95-87 victory over Memphis yesterday. Will Barton set career highs with 28 points and 16 rebounds for Memphis (5-4), which rallied from a 13-point second-half deficit to take the lead.
Indiana 69, Notre Dame 58: Cody Zeller had 21 points and eight rebounds to help No. 18 Indiana (10-0) in the Crossroads Classic in Indianapolis. Eric Atkins had 15 points for Notre Dame (7-5), which suffered a 16-minute stretch without a basket.
Georgetown 81, American 55: Henry Sims had 17 points and six assists, including having a hand in 14 of No. 16 Georgetown's first 16 points in the second half in Washington. The Hoyas are 9-1.
Pittsburgh 69, S.C. St. 55: Lamar Patterson tied a career high with 16 points and host No. 15 Pittsburgh (10-1) pulled away with a 13-3 run in the second half.
Cincinnati 101, Radford 70: Point guard Cashmere Wright scored a career-high 25 points, and host Cincinnati (7-3) won its second straight game with two starters suspended.
Marquette 93, N. Colorado 72: Freshman Todd Mayo replaced suspended star Darius Johnson-Odom in the starting lineup and scored 22 points, and Jae Crowder had 19 points and 11 rebounds for host No. 11 Marquette (10-0).
Saint Joseph's 74, Villanova 58: Langston Galloway scored 20 points and host Saint Joe's (8-3) limited the Wildcats (6-5) to 33.3-percent shooting.
West Virginia 84, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 64: Kevin Jones had 22 points, including 10 early in the second half as host West Virginia (7-2) pulled away. -- AP
