In case you missed it on Saturday, former Roslyn star George Beamon set career highs with 15 points and 11 rebounds in Manhattan's 75-70 win over NJIT.

Ok, so it was only NJIT, but Beamon played well the second half of last season and averaged 6.1 points in about 20 minutes per game off the bench in his last 10 games.

Beamon played 37 minutes in the win over NJIT. Although the Highlanders have been a doormat since becoming a Division I team a few years ago, they are expected to be better this season.
