Amanda Horvers scored 16 points, including five during a big second-half run as host Mount St. Mary knocked off Farmingdale State, 58-43, Saturday to win the Skyline Tournament championship at Kaplan Center in Newburgh.

It is the second straight title for the Knights and the 12th in the last 13 seasons.

It was the ninth straight appearance for the Rams, who fell to Mount St. Mary (25-3) in the championship game last year.

The Rams (15-11) held serve early and led the Knights 41-35 on a jumper by Nikita Green with 10:15 left in the game.

But Mount St. Mary went on a streak that seemed to have no end as Charneice McCullough and Horvers hit back-to-back three-pointers, sparking a 20-0 run that gave the Knights a 55-41 lead with 46 seconds left.

Farmingdale State's Dominique Cunningham hit a layup to end the Rams' 9:35 scoring drought with 40 seconds left.

Jeanette Zubizarreta had 12 points, Baytania Newman had 11 and Kayla Koch 10 for Farmingdale State.
