Samantha Prahalis leads Buckeyes past Stony Brook
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Samantha Prahalis had 25 points and 11 assists in only 28 minutes to lead No. 18 Ohio State to an 84-37 women's basketball rout of Stony Brook on Friday.
Prahalis, of Commack, equaled her season scoring average of 15 in the first half and the Buckeyes (4-0) forced Stony Brook into 24 misses in its first 26 shots. Ohio State took a 42-12 lead into halftime, the fewest points the Buckeyes have allowed in a first half since they led Longwood 41-9 on Nov. 30, 2006.
The Buckeyes scored the game's first 10 points, eight by Prahalis, who assisted on the other basket.
