Seton Hall stuns No. 9 Georgetown
Jordan Theodore scored 29 points to lead Seton Hall to the signature win it needed for its NCAA Tournament resume, a 73-55 victory over visiting No. 9 Georgetown Tuesday night. The Pirates (19-9, 8-8 Big East) put on quite a shooting performance against one of the conference's best defensive teams. They shot 61.0 percent (25-for-41), the best against the Hoyas this season and only the third time any team shot 50 percent or better. Georgetown (20-6, 10-5) came in allowing 38.4 percent shooting this season.
Kentucky 73, Miss. State 64: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist scored 18 points, Anthony Davis had 13 points and 11 rebounds and visiting No. 1 Kentucky had to rally. The Wildcats (27-1) trailed 41-28 at halftime, but slowly climbed back to take their first lead at 63-62 with 4:11 remaining on a layup by Kidd-Gilchrist. They never trailed again, winning their 19th straight game.
Kansas State 78, Missouri 68: Rodney McGruder scored 24 points and visiting Kansas State (19-8) upset No. 3 Missouri, the Wildcats' second win this season over the Tigers. Dixon scored 21 and Marcus Denmon 19 for Missouri (25-3), which fell short of the best start in school history.
Ohio State 83, Illinois 67: Deshaun Thomas scored 19 points for host No. 8 Ohio State (23-5), which shot 65 percent from the field.
WOMEN'S GAMESBaylor 80, Texas 59: Brittney Griner had 18 points with 10 rebounds and top-ranked host Baylor (28-0) claimed the outright Big 12 title. Griner's 40th career double-double came in her 100th game at Baylor.
UConn 86, Pittsburgh 37: Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis' 23 points led visiting No. 4 Connecticut. North Babylon's Bria Hartley had 10 points for the Huskies (25-3). -- AP
