St. John's basketball opener will be Nov. 1 against D-II Maryville (Missouri)

St. John’s basketball opens its season Nov. 1 with an exhibition game against Division II Maryville (St. Louis, Missouri) at Carnesecca Arena. The Red Storm faces National champion Villanova for the first time on Jan. 8 in Philadelphia.

Villanova comes to Madison Square Garden on Feb. 17. Other key games include: At Rutgers on Nov. 16, at Seton Hall on Dec. 29  and Marquette on Jan. 1. CBS will broadcast the Red Storm at Georgetown on Jan. 5, they will go to Indianapolis to face Butler on Jan. 19 and will face Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Feb. 2.
