St. John's forward Da'Shena Stevens followed up an impact-laden freshman year with a stellar sophomore season and was named to the AP honorable mention All-American team.

Stevens led the Red Storm (25-7) in scoring (14.2) and rebounds (7.6) and helped lift the team to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Stevens had 19 points and six rebounds in the Red Storm's first-round win against Princeton and 14 points and nine rebounds in a 66-65 second-round defeat to Florida State.

Prahalis honored. Commack's Sammy Prahalis was also tabbed by the AP voters as she picked up honorable mention All-American honors. The sophomore point guard averaged 16.3 points per game and led the Big Ten with 289 assists.

The Buckeyes were eliminated in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, 87-67. Prahalis' teammate Jantel Lavender was an AP first-team All-American selection.
