Seawolves senior guard Muhammad El-Amin was named to the AP All American honorable mention team. El-Amin set a school record (as a Division I program) in single-season scoring with 517 points.

El-Amin was named America East conference player of the year by the coaches and by the Sporting News. El-Amin, who finished 29 points shy of 1,000 for his career, averaged 19.1 points in America East play this season and had 23 points in Stony Brook's 82-78 win over Vermont that clinched the regular season championship.
