Stony Brook to play UConn, Notre Dame
Stony Brook will open its season at the University of Connecticut, the alma mater of coach Steve Pikiell, and also will play Notre Dame in South Bend.
The schedule was just announced for the Seawolves, who will try to build on the momentum from their first NIT appearance and a rousing home game against Illinois.
The home opener will be Sunday, Nov. 14 against Mount Ida. Stony Brook also will play Cornell, which is coming off a Sweet 16 appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
