Stony Brook isn't wasting any time trying to expand its profile.

The Seawolves will open the 2011-2012 season on the road against Big Ten member Indiana, Stony Brook coach Steve Pikiell announced on Friday.

The Hoosiers don't quite measure up to Connecticut, which Stony Brook opened against this season, but any time an America East school gets the opportunity to play a BCS school, it's an opportunity.  Stony Brook also played at Notre Dame this season.

It is believed Pikiell is looking to add two more BCS opponents to next year's non-conference schedule.

Stony Brook (15-17, 8-8 America East) struggled through an injury-riddled regular season, but got hot toward the end and made an impressive run to the America East final where it fell to Boston University, 56-54.

It was the third straight season the Seawolves finished .500 or better in the America East conference.
