Stony Brook to visit Buckingham Palace, Eiffel Tower
Now, this is what you'd call going places.
Stony Brook's men's basketball team will visit Buckingham Palace, the Eiffel Tower and various other landmarks in an 11-day, five-game exhibition tour of Europe Aug. 11-22.
According to NCAA regulations, the team can hold no more than 10 practices to get into game shape. Still, that's an extra 10 games, which can't hurt a team that hit its stride in the America East tournament last year, falling just short of the NCAAs.
It should help Tommy Brenton, the heart and soul of the team who missed all of last season after an offseason knee injury.
