St. John's did have a good start, playing aggressively and cleanly (no fouls for the first 15-plus minutes). But Syracuse is awfully good; very active on the 2-3 zone, limiting St. John's to outside shots and closing in down low. Plus Syracuse started hitting a few outside shots and connected on some fast breaks. All of a sudden, it's 35-24 at the half.
