Tough loss for Stony Brook, but...
Dropping a season-opener, 79-52, is never a good thing.
But Stony Brook, which ran out of gas in the second half against UConn on Friday night, shouldn't have its head down. The Seawolves were without two key components who were injured in Marcus Rouse and Tommy Brenton.
They were in it for a half and trailed, 39-31, at the break. The Seawolves got as close as 39-33, but that was it. Here's a link to Greg Logan's game story.
The Seawolves get Mt. Ida in their home opener on Sunday.
