Kemba Walker scored 19 points and hit a three-pointer with 2:32 to play that capped a 12-1 run as No. 6 Connecticut came back from 10 points down in the final eight minutes and stopped a two-game losing streak with a 61-59 victory over Seton Hall last night in Newark.

Freshman Roscoe Smith made two free throws for UConn (18-4, 6-4 Big East) with 19 seconds left for a three-point lead. The Pirates (10-14, 4-8) got a layup at the buzzer, their only basket in the final eight minutes.

Georgetown 83, Providence 81: The Friars' Marshon Brooks scored 43 points, but was stripped of the ball by Chris Wright at midcourt as No. 13 Georgetown (18-5, 7-4 Big East) escaped in Washington.

Syracuse 72, South Florida 49: Rick Jackson scored a season-high 21 points and Kris Joseph 14 in Tampa for No. 17 Syracuse (20-4, 7-4 Big East). Jackson also had 12 rebounds.

Pittsburgh 71, Cincinnati 59: Ashton Gibbs had 18 of his 25 points in the first half for the host No. 4 Panthers (21-2, 9-1 Big East). Cincinnati (18-5, 5-5) was without suspended forward Yancy Gates.

Villanova 66, West Virginia 50: Maalik Wayns had 17 points and Corey Fisher 16 and the No. 12 Wildcats (19-4, 7-3 Big East) went on a 19-3 second-half run in Philadelphia. Kevin Jones scored 16 points and John Flowers 15 for No. 25 West Virginia (15-7, 6-4).

Louisville 61, DePaul 57: Kyle Kuric scored 19 points, including a clinching three-pointer for host No. 15 Louisville (18-5, 7-3 Big East).

Baylor 76, Texas A&M 74: Perry Jones had a season-high 27 points and Anthony Jones' layup with 3.1 seconds left in overtime tripped host No. 16 Texas A&M (17-5, 4-4 Big 12). The Bears are 15-7, 5-4.
