Connecticut freshman Ryan Boatwright made all three free throws to tie Florida State with seven seconds remaining, helping the Huskies to a 78-76 win in overtime of the consolation game of the Battle 4 Atlantis men's college basketball tournament Saturday on Paradise Island, Bahamas.

Shabazz Napier had 26 points for defending national champion Connecticut (6-1), ranked No. 4 in The Associated Press college basketball poll. No. 22 Florida State is 5-2.

Boatwright finished with 14 points and three assists in 33 minutes in his first college game. Jeremy Lamb added 19 points for Connecticut and freshman Andre Drummond had 12 points, 10 rebounds and seven blocked shots.

"I'm proud of our kids," Connecticut coach Jim Calhoun said a day after his team was stunned by Central Florida. "Boatwright doesn't get much play, but he has an awful lot of courage. He didn't know if he was going to play today or two months from now. Our two freshmen made UConn feel healthy about ourselves. You want them to get their feet wet, but they just jumped in."

Kentucky 87, Portland 63: Terrence Jones and Darius Miller scored 19 points apiece and Anthony Davis had 13 points and 12 rebounds for host No. 2 Kentucky (6-0) against Portland (2-4) in the Wildcats' final tuneup before playing St. John's and No. 1 North Carolina next week. Kentucky (6-0) has won every game by double digits.

Wisconsin 73, BYU 56: Ben Brust scored 21 on seven threes as No. 11 Wisconsin (6-0) won the Chicago Invitational Challenge over BYU (4-2).

Gonzaga 78, W. Michigan 58: Robert Sacre and Sam Dower each scored 15 points for No. 19 Gonzaga (4-0), which beat Western Michigan (0-6) in Spokane, Wash.

California 80, Denver 59: Allen Crabbe scored 15 points and matched his career high with 10 rebounds for host No. 20 California (5-1). Denver is 4-1.

WOMEN'S GAMES

Notre Dame 56, Duke 54: Natalie Novosel banked in a shot from the foul line with under a second left to lift No. 4 Notre Dame over No. 7 Duke in the final of the Junkanoo Jam in Freeport, Bahamas. Skylar Diggins scored 19 points and Novosel had 15 for the Irish (5-1), who rallied from a 16-point deficit. Freshman Elizabeth Williams had 16 points, 13 rebounds and seven blocks for Duke (4-1).

Connecticut 90, Buffalo 34: Tiffany Hayes (30 points, 11 rebounds) led host No. 2 Connecticut (5-0) over Buffalo (2-4). North Babylon's Bria Hartley had eight points in the win.

Texas A&M 74, Iowa 58: Sydney Carter scored 21 points to lead defending national champion No. 5 Texas A&M (6-0) over Iowa (4-2) in Freeport, Bahamas.

Georgetown 64, Georgia 56: Sugar Rodgers scored 23 points to lead No. 21 Georgetown (4-2) to an upset of No. 10 Georgia (4-1) in Las Vegas.
