Villanova could be without Taylor King for Big East Tournament
Villanova sophomore forward Taylor King could miss the Big East Tournament.
King was benched in Saturday's 68-66 loss to West Virginia. Villanova coach Jay Wright told the Associated Press there was a "teaching point" he wanted to make with King.
Wright hasn't yet decided if King will play in the Big East Tourament.
The 6-6 forward from California is Villanova's second leading rebounder. King's absence may not hinder Villanova's future as much as one might think.
King has been a non-factor offensively and hasn't scored in double figures since a 12-point, seven-rebound effort in a 92-84 win over Louisville on January 11.
He had a season-high 20 points in a 97-89 non-conference win at St. Joseph's on December 9.
