Villanova will start the season a bit undermanned as freshman forward JayVaughn Pinkston was charged with two counts of simple assault.

Pinkston can practice with the sixth-rankked Wildcats, but will not play until the a university review of the situation has been completed. Villanova opens the season at home against Bucknell on Friday.

The Upper Merion Township Police charged Pinkston on Thursday after being involved in an altercation last weekend, according to the Associated Press.
