DAVIS, Calif. — Miles Hastings threw three of his four touchdown passes in the first half and FCS No. 6-ranked UC Davis routed Cal Poly 56-10 in a Big Sky Conference game Saturday night.

Hastings entered the game ranked No. 3 in total yards passing, and he added 458 yards, completing 27 of 30 attempts to amass 2,186 yards through seven games.

Hastings drove the Aggies (6-1, 3-0) 94 yards in just four plays to open the game, hitting Chaz Davis for 73 yards and again for the final 14 yards and a 7-0 lead four minutes into the game. Noah Serna got the Mustangs (2-4, 1-2) on the board with a 40-yard field goal, but UC Davis scored three touchdowns in a three-minute span to take a 28-3 lead to start the second quarter.

Lan Larison capped a 10-play, 65-yard drive with a 2-yard run and less than a minute later Rex Connors picked off a Bo Kelly pass and returned it 35 yards for a touchdown. Hastings hit Samuel Gbatu Jr. with a 44-yard score with :26 left in the quarter. Hastings hit Larison from 23-yards out, and after Richie Watts punctuated a three-play, 85-yard Cal Poly drive with a 2-yard run, Larison broke for a 41-yard touchdown run to make it 42-10 at intermission.

Larison carried 13 times for 76 yards and two touchdowns and caught five passes for 90 yards and a score. Davis caught four passes for 102 yards. Stacy Dobbins caught six for 91 yards and Trent Tompkins reeled in eight for 83 yards and a touchdown.

Kelly was 12 of 21 for 135 yards passing with an interception to lead the Mustangs. Michael Briscoe caught four passes for 103 yards.
