Kirk Cousins, who had left the game twice with injuries, lunged into the end zone from 3 yards out with 4:32 remaining to give host No. 12 Michigan State a 35-31 comeback victory over Purdue Saturday. The Spartans trailed 28-13 after three quarters.
Harvard again
Host Harvard stopped Yale on fourth-and-17 in the final minute as the Bulldogs tried to rally from a two-touchdown deficit, as the Crimson won the 127th edition of The Game, 28-21. Harvard (7-3, 5-2 Ivy League) has beaten Yale four consecutive times and nine times in 10 years.
Pitt atop Big East
Pittsburgh (6-4, 4-1) took control of the Big East as Dion Lewis ran 22 yards for the go-ahead touchdown early in the fourth quarter for a 17-10 victory at South Florida . . . Elsewhere in the Big East, Jordan Todman ran for 130 yards and scored on two short runs as Connecticut (6-4, 3-2) topped host Syracuse (7-4, 4-3), 23-6 . . .
