WACO, Texas -- Robert Griffin and Baylor created even more chaos in the national championship race with a stunning blow against fifth-ranked Oklahoma last night.

Griffin threw for 479 yards and four touchdowns, including a 34-yarder to Terrance Williams with 8 seconds left and 25th-ranked Baylor beat the Sooners for the first time, 45-38. Oklahoma had been 20-0 against the Bears.

The Sooners (8-2, 5-2 Big 12) had overcome a two-touchdown deficit to tie the game on Blake Bell's fourth touchdown run, a 6-yarder with 51 seconds left. The Bears then went 80 yards in five plays, with Griffin scrambling for runs of 22 and 8 yards before then finding Williams in the back corner for the end zone.

The Sooners lined up for a two-point conversion both before and after a Baylor timeout. But when time resumed, a false start on the Sooners pushed the ball back and Michael Hunnicutt kicked the extra point to tie it at 38.

The Sooners' loss came a night after Big 12 rival and No. 2 Oklahoma State suffered its first loss, and right after No. 4 Oregon became a two-loss team.

It was the fourth loss by a top 10 BCS team over the weekend, following Oregon's 38-35 loss to USC less than a half-hour earlier and No. 7 Clemson's 37-13 blowout loss at North Carolina State earlier Saturday.

The Sooners' in-state rival, No. 2 Oklahoma State, lost, 37-31, Friday night in two overtimes at Iowa State.

Alabama is expected to move up to No. 2 in the new BCS rankings.-- AP
