Steven Laurino completed 21 of 36 passes for 281 yards and three touchdowns to lead LIU Post to a 28-3 win over Southern Connecticut in a Northeast-10 game yesterday.

Kamron Palmer caught six passes for 76 yards and two touchdowns for the Pioneers, who improved to 6-2 with the victory. Southern Connecticut fell to 2-6.

Laurino scored on a 22-yard run with 2:47 left in the first quarter to give Post a 7-3 lead. With 14:24 left in the second quarter, Laurino connected with Palmer for a 28-yard touchdown pass.

Seven minutes later, Laurino threw a 12-yard touchdown to Shane Hubbard. Laurino found Palmer again for a 9-yard touchdown pass with 3:03 left in the third to make the score 28-3.

David White was Post's leading rusher, with 88 yards on 18 carries. Laurino had 15 carries for 77 yards.

Justin Ortiz and Anthony Brunetti both made six tackles for Post. Romario Dillion and Jhaleel Oswald both had interceptions for Post.

The Pioneers' defense held Southern Connecticut to 206 yards of total offense and 3.6 yards per play.
