Steven Laurino completed 30 of 49 passes for 176 yards and a touchdown, and ran for 53 yards and a score for LIU Post, but the Pioneers lost to Shippensburg (Pa.), 36-20, Saturday in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East football.

Zach Zulli was 21-for-32 passing for 276 yards and two TDs to lead Shippensburg (6-0, 3-0) as the Red Raiders gained 506 yards of total offense.

Zulli's 12-yard TD pass to Kevin Herod put Shippensburg up, 10-7, with 13:52 left in the second quarter. LIU Post (2-3, 1-2) retook the lead on Laurino's 2-yard touchdown throw to Sean Binckes with 4:58 remaining in the second quarter.

Post's Jeff Mack was held to 24 yards rushing on 10 carries and the Pioneers were held to 82 yards on the ground. Grayson Laurino had nine catches for 38 yards in the loss.

Linebackers Rob Bright and Anton Rukaj each made nine tackles and Dan Belfiore had six tackles and a sack for LIU Post.

The Post will visit West Chester at 1 p.m. Saturday.
