That notorious Tebow commercial? Very gentle

One of the most controversial commercials in Super Bowl history came and went in the first quarter, no doubt leaving many viewers wondering what the fuss was about.

The ad - another version of which ran during the pregame - featured Tim Tebow and his mother, Pam, and was expected to deliver a gentle anti-abortion message.

Gentle it was. It did not mention abortion explicitly, referring viewers to the Web site of "Focus on the Family.''

"I call him my miracle baby,'' says Pam, who when pregnant with Tim was advised to have an abortion for medical reasons. "He almost didn't make it into this world.''

The ad included a humorous element as Tim is shown tackling his mother. It ends with him asking, "Do you still worry about me, Mom?''

Pam answers, "Well, yeah, you're not nearly as tough as I am.''
