Junior Max Feely scored his first career goal in the third overtime to give the seventh-seeded Cornell men's lacrosse team an 11-10 win over Loyola in the first round of the NCAA Tournament yesterday.

The Big Red (11-5) took a 10-8 lead on Ryan Hurley's goal with 7:21 left in the fourth quarter, but Stephen Murray tied it with seven seconds left for Loyola (9-5). Steve Mock scored three goals and Rob Pannell had two goals and two assists for Cornell.

Virginia 18, Mount St. Mary 4: Shamel Bratton and Chris Bocklet each scored three goals for top-seeded Virginia (15-1), which will visit Stony Brook next Sunday. Andrew Scalley had three goals for Mount St. Mary (12-5).

Duke 18, Johns Hopkins 5: Max Quinzani had four goals and an assist for fifth-seeded Duke (13-4). Steve Schoeffel added three goals and an assist and Ned Crotty had two goals and an assist. Tom Palasek and Steven Boyle each scored twice for Johns Hopkins (7-8).
