The Hofstra men's soccer team lost, 4-0, Sunday to William and Mary in the Colonial Athletic Association championship game.

The game was scoreless through the first half until the 67th minute when Nicholas Abrigo of William and Mary scored his first of three goals. Hofstra goalie Roberto Pellegrini made five saves in the loss.

The Pride was playing in its fourth championship game in seven years, and coach Richard Nuttall was upset about the loss but remained proud of his team.

"We ran out of a little bit of steam against a good William and Mary team," Nuttall said. "But we had magnificent results to get to the final. [Next year's team] will have lots of experience."
