Hofstra women sign 3 to national letters of intent
The Hofstra women’s basketball team signed E’Lexus Davis, ranked 27th among high school point guards by ESPNW, and two others to national letters of intent, the university announced Wednesday.
Davis, from Hyattsville, Maryland, is joined by her high school teammate, forward Mikiyah Croskey, and guard Sandra Karsten of Helsinki, Finland. The three will begin their college careers next season.
Davis and Croskey, of Bowie, Maryland, led National Christian Academy to the No. 13 spot in the Super 25 girls basketball rankings this season. Croskey averaged 10.4 points as a junior while adding 8.7 rebounds and two blocks per game.
“I’m looking forward to seeing all the great attributes they bring as student-athletes and high-character people to our program,” Hofstra coach Krista Kilburn-Steveskey said through a team news release.
Karsten, a 5-9 shooting guard, has played three games for Finland’s national team and previously competed for the under-16 and under-18 squad. She averaged 6.4 points through 61 international games at all levels.
