Ikerson Hopper gets five goals to pace Adelphi over NYIT
Ikerson Hopper had five goals and an assist and Salvatore Tuttle scored twice, including the go-ahead goal midway through the fourth quarter to lift No. 5 Adelphi over No. 6 NYIT, 11-9, in non-conference men's lacrosse Saturday.
Brian Prendergast added three goals and an assist, Kevin Kennedy scored once and goalies Aidan Bennardo and Eric Janssen had six saves each for Adelphi (2-0).
Mike Ross had two goals and three assists and Luke Miller added two goals and an assist for NYIT (3-1).
Suffolk CC 15, Catonsville CC 6: Ken Meinsen scored four goals and Tyler Miegel had three goals for Suffolk CC (4-0) in non-conference. Patrick Bonacum recorded 22 saves in the win.
Nassau CC 20, Anne Arundel CC 3: Kevin Teresky had five goals and James O'Boyle three goals and two assists for Nassau CC (2-1) in non-league.
Guilford 11, USMMA 6: Geoff Harty had two goals and John Atkinson one goal and two assists for USMMA (1-2) in a non-conference loss.

Yale 9, Hofstra 7: Jill Maier had two goals and an assist and Brittain Altomare added a score and two assists for Hofstra (4-2), but the Pride couldn't overcome a four-goal run by Yale early into the second period in a non-league match.
LIU Post 23, Southern New Hampshire 8: Ashley Olen had six goals and three assists, Jackie Sileo three goals and eight assists, and Abbie Ross and Katie Rotan added five goals each for LIU Post (3-0) in non-conference.
Adelphi 20, Philadelphia U. 3: Rachel O'Brien had five goals and Devan Crimi and Sara Sangiorgio each had four goals to led No. 5 Adelphi (4-0) in non-conference.
