LI HS bball stars: Where are they now?

We watch and cover all of the best Long Island high school basketball players every year. Many of them move up to the next level. So what are some of those players up to now?
Columbia freshman Luke Petrasek said he couldn’t wait to set foot on center court at Barclays Center. The Northport graduate did so against St. John’s and represented himself well, getting 12 points, five rebounds and four assists in a 65-59 loss to the Red Storm.
The 6-10 forward is having a solid rookie season for Columbia, averaging 8.8 rebounds and 3.5 rebounds. He had a season-high 20 in an 82-59 win over FDU on Dec. 21. College basketball is a far cry from playing on the high school level, but Petrasek has adjusted well.
“The biggest difference is the speed of the game,” Petrasek said. “There’s also a big change in the height and strength of everyone.”
Petrasek said Columbia has provided a “great atmosphere”, referring to it as a home away from home.
