No. 1 LIU Post defeated No. 2 Mercy, 17-11, at NYIT to win its fourth-straight East Coast Conference women’s lacrosse championship Saturday afternoon.

Brianna Feldman had seven goals and an assist and Alyssa Mallery added six goals to lead Post (14-5, 8-0), ranked No. 9 in the country.

Adelphi 17, Merrimack 6: Kole Pollock had five goals and an assist and Alison Johnson had nine assists for host No. 1 Adelphi in the Northeast-10 semifinals. Adelphi (18-1) hosts No. 2 Le Moyne at 1 p.m. Sunday at Motamed Field.

USMMA 13, St. Joseph’s (L.I.) 10: Kristin Carroll and Nicole Stoppelli each had three goals and an assist as host No. 1 USMMA won the Skyline Conference championship. USMMA (14-2, 7-0) took an 8-4 lead at halftime. Meredith Willard scored sixs goals and had one assist in USMMA’s first championship.

MEN’S LACROSSE

NYIT 11, LIU Post 10: Andrew Zito scored the winning goal assisted by Matt Chanenchuk in overtime to lead NYIT (13-4, 6-0) to an East Coast Conference championship. Dylan Harned had three goals and one assist for Post (10-5, 5-1).

USMMA 21, Mount St. Mary 15: Pat Coll scored seven goals and had one assist to lead No. 1 USMMA (13-2, 7-0) to its first Skyline Conference championship. Brendan Kane made 13 saves for USMMA.

SOFTBALL

LIU Post 4, Molloy 1: Hannah Olshevski earned the win, pitching a complete game, allowing one earned run on four hits, striking out one and walking three to lead No. 1 LIU Post (35-17, 20-5) to an East Coast Conference championship win over No. 3 Molloy (30-25, 13-12). Abbey Fortin went 3-for-4, including a solo home run and two runs. Breanna Klaiber had a two-run double.

Adelphi 3, Pace 0: Christina Rizzi went 1-for-3 with a two-run single in the top of the third inning to lead Adelphi (30-19-1, 17-7-1) to a Northeast-10 championship. Emily Turney went 1-for-3, including an RBI single in the top of the first inning. Nicole Mengel earned the win, pitching seven innings, allowing no earned runs on four hits, with two strikeouts and three walks.

Suffolk CCC 4, Anne Arundel CCC 2: Macy Kane threw a four-hitter, striking out nine, to lead Suffolk CCC in Game 1 of a best-of-three series in the District H Championship. Kane had two RBIs.

BASEBALL

USMMA 9, Farmingdale State 2: John Kelly Jr. pitched a complete game, allowing one earned run on six hits, with three strikeouts and two walks to lead USMMA (27-13, 11-7) in Day 2 of the double-elimination portion of the Skyline Conference championship.
