Justin Bonacci had three goals and an assist as third-seeded Stony Brook beat host No. 1 Towson, 13-11, in the CAA men’s lacrosse championship game Saturday. Stony Brook (10-5) earned an automatic bid into the Division I NCAA Tournament.

Jack Cavalieri scored with 3:58 left to stop a 4-0 Towson run and give the Seawolves a 13-10 lead. Bonacci’s goal at the end of the third quarter put the Seawolves ahead 12-6 before Towson (11-4) launched an ill-fated comeback bid.

Molloy 20, Frostburg State 8: Noah Hammon had six goals and three assists for host and top-seed Molloy (14-3), which won its second straight East Coast Conference title and earned a bid into the Division II tournament. Brian Green added three goals and Justin Palulis had two goals and two assists.

Jake Taylor had two goals and five assists and John Basile made seven saves. Luke Roach had two goals and two assists and Lukasz Barmosz made 16 saves for Frostburg State (11-7).

Robert Morris 8, LIU 7:

Graeme MacLennan scored with two seconds remaining to lead host and top-seed Robert Morris over No. 2 LIU in the NEC title game.

LIU’s Aidan Zuhoski tied the score at 7 with 27 seconds left. Zuhoski led LIU (11-4) with three goals. Ben McIsaac added two goals and Brayden Wilcken made eight saves.

MacLennan scored three goals and Nate Fechter made 18 saves for Robert Morris (13-3).

WOMEN’S LACROSSE

Stony Brook 18, Towson 7: Isabella Caporuscio had six goals and an assist and Katie Walsh had five goals and an assist as host and top-seed Stony Brook won its fourth straight CAA championship and earned an NCAA tournament bid.

Julia Fusco scored back-to-back goals in the second quarter to give Stony Brook an 8-6 lead. The Seawolves (17-2) rattled off eight straight goals to open up a 14-6 lead with 11:36 left in the fourth quarter.

Elise Smigel and Hannah Lewis each scored three times for Towson (8-11).
