Local roundup: John Calarco lifts Adelphi in OT
John Calarco scored eight of his 12 points in overtime, including a jumper with six seconds left, to lift Adelphi to a 65-64 win over Southern New Hampshire in a Northeast-10 men's basketball game Saturday.
Bradley Simpson led Adelphi (10-9, 7-6) with 15 points and Duane Morgan chipped in 11 points, including a three-point play with 1:07 left in regulation to force OT.
Mike Stys led Southern New Hampshire (11-9, 7-6) with 16 points.
NYIT 65, Molloy 53:Phil Izevbehai had 17 points for NYIT (13-6, 7-2 East Coast Conference). Brandon Williams and Miles Prendergast each had 10 points for Molloy (11-6, 7-2). SUNY-Old Westbury 72, SUNY Purchase 56:Tyrik Tucker had 19 points and 14 rebounds and Rashawn McCarthy had 17 points for Old Westbury (16-3, 11-0) in Skyline Conference action. Purchase is 13-4, 7-4.

Dowling 54, St. Thomas Aquinas 47:Danielle Wilson had 23 points and 14 rebounds as No. 24 Dowling (15-2, 9-0 ECC) won its 10th straight. St. Thomas Aqui- nas is 8-11, 4-5. NYIT 74, Molloy 69:Demitra Apergis had 16 points to lead NYIT (16-1, 8-1 ECC). Alex Hampton had 20 points for Molloy (7-10, 3-6). Bridgeport 72, LIU Post 66:Nicolette Marciniak had 14 points for visiting LIU Post (12-5, 5-4 ECC). Bridgeport is 12-6 and 7-3. Southern New Hampshire 76, Adelphi 56:Kelly Mannix had 16 points for Adelphi (9-8, 6-7) in Northeast-10 action. Southern New Hampshire is 9-8, 6-7. Farmingdale State 51, Sage 39:Nicky Young had 17 points to lead Farmingdale State (8-9, 6-3 Skyline).
