LSU was the unanimous top choice in both the AP and coaches polls this week. The Tigers’ 41-17 beating of Arkansas all but guarantees them a slot in the BCS national game. Even a loss to Georgia in the SEC title game next week may not drop them below No. 2. Alabama was second in both polls. Oklahoma State, Stanford and Virginia Tech were Nos. 3-5 in the AP poll. The Hokies were third in the Coaches poll, while Stanford and Oklahoma State were fourth and fifth. Houston moved up to sixth in the Coaches poll and seventh in the AP poll.
