Mallia's goal lifts Adelphi

Greg Mallia beat two Longwood defenders and created enough space to get a shot off and score with nine minutes left to give Adelphi a 2-1 win over Longwood Saturday in men's college soccer. James Diana scored on a cross from Brandon Stoneham to tie the score at 1 for Adelphi (4-5-1, 2-0 ASC) with less than 17 minutes left. Longwood is 6-5-1, 0-1.

NYIT 1, Mercy College 0: Pierre Sy scored the only goal to lead NYIT (8-2-1, 2-1 ECC).

C.W. Post 1, St. Thomas Aquinas 0:Cem- il Turan scored in the 83rd minute for C.W. Post (11-0, 3-0 ECC), which is ranked sixth in the nation in NSCAA Division II. Marco Jorgensen made three saves in the win.
