After taking two of three games at the 2K Sports Classic in Detroit, Stony Brook regains the top spot in the Metro Hoops Poll. Stony Brook sophomore big man Jameel Warney had arguably the best two-game stretch in program history, totaling 55 points and 40 rebounds. He had 32 points and 21 boards in Sunday’s 104-102 (3 OT), win over Detroit.

St. John’s comes in at No. 2, while Manhattan held steady at three. Seton Hall move up two spots to fourth, St. Francis stayed at fifth, while Iona moved up two places to sixth after a big win over George Mason. Quinnipiac jumped three places to seventh, while Wagner, N.J.I.T and Princeton enter the poll for the first time.
