Ethan Paquette (2-for-5, two RBIs) hit a walk-off single to center with two outs in the ninth to break a 3-3 tie and give Hofstra a 4-3 baseball victory over William & Mary on Friday. Mike Walraven was 3-for-5 with an RBI and Paquette was 2-for-5 with two RBIs for Hofstra (13-20, 4-6 CAA). William & Mary is 22-15, 6-7.

C.W. Post 13, Mercy 2:Zack Graczyk went 4-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs and Casey McKay went 3-for-5 with four RBIs for C.W. Post (23-11-1, 17-5 ECC). Brian Salvana struck out nine in seven innings. Mercy is 13-22, 8-14.

WOMEN'S LACROSSE

Hofstra 15, Delaware 6:K'Leigh Banaman had three goals, one assist and three draw controls to lead 16th-ranked Hofstra (10-4, 4-1) in the CAA. Delaware is 5-10, 2-4.

SOFTBALL

SUNY-Old Westbury sweeps.Freshman Alyssa Clancy improved to 11-3 by winning both games of the non-conference doubleheader, 4-2 and 9-1, over John Jay. She allowed nine hits and two earned runs in 13 innings. Old Westbury is 16-16.

GOLF

Maruyama paces Farmingdale. Senior Masa Maruyama shot a school-record 69 on the Links at Cherry Creek as Farmingdale State took the title at Manhattan's Jasper Classic. Maruyama shot 36 on the front nine and birdied the final five holes.
