Brian Saldana scattered six hits in six innings to lead C.W. Post over Molloy, 2-0, in the second game of a doubleheader. With the win, Post (28-13-1, 22-7 ECC) clinched the ECC regular-season title. Mike Callaghan went 2-for-3 with a run and Kyle Daan had an RBI. Post won the first game, 12-8. Bryan Bonin's RBI single gave the Pioneers a 9-8 lead in the 10th inning. Molloy is 26-22, 19-10.

SUNY-Old Westbury 7, St. Joseph's (LI) 5: Jason Kondra hit a two-run single in the bottom of the eighth to lift fourth-seeded Old Westbury over St. Joseph's in the second round of the double-elimination Skyline Baseball Tournament at Farmingdale State. Old Westbury (21-17) was to face No. 3 Mount St. Mary's in the semfinals at 7:45 p.m. last night.

Hofstra 17, Towson 8: Ethan Paquette and John Kenny each had five RBIs for Hofstra (16-21-1, 7-7 CAA).St. John's 8, Notre Dame 1: Jeremy Baltz went 3-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs for St. John's (28-13,11-6 Big East). Kyle Hansen struck out nine in 72/3 innings.

NYIT splits with NJIT. Brian Smith had four RBIs and Andrew Guarrasi struck out 10 for NYIT in a 7-2 win in Game 1 of a doubleheader. Christian Dienna was 2-for-3 with a homer for NYIT (18-17-2, 10-5 Great West) in a 10-4 loss in Game 2.

MEN'S LACROSSEUSMMA 11, Susquehanna 9: Zach Gray scored six goals to lead USMMA (7-7, 3-3 Landmark). Sean Zakow had given the Mariners a 10-9 lead with 8:23 left. With the win, USMMA clinched the fourth seed in the Landmark Tournament and the Mariners will face top-seeded Goucher College on May 5.

C.W. Post 11, Mercyhurst 9: Mike Messina and Eddie Plompen each had three goals and Joe Meo added two for No. 5 C.W. Post (13-1, 8-1 ECC). Mike Giordano made 11 saves in the win.

Nassau CC 20, Brookdale 5: Jason Cranmer had three goals and an assist and Owen Campbell added a goal and three assists for Nassau CC (14-2) in a Region XV District playoff game. Nassau CC will play in the final four next Saturday at Herkimer CC.
