Record 113,411 watch college hockey game

Michigan and Michigan State set a world record for attendance at a hockey game Saturday, playing in front of 113,411 at Michigan Stadium, a game won by Michigan, 5-0.

A representative from Guinness World Records was on hand to verify the record. The old mark for was 77,803 at this year's world championship in Germany.

It was a rematch of a 2001 meeting between the rivals in front of 74,544 at Michigan State's Spartan Stadium, which set the record for the largest hockey crowd at the time. - AP
